How to delete an empty, not found or access denied folder

From the file explorer

Once EMCO UnLock it’s installed, it adds an entry to the File Explorer context menus.

So to delete a file or folder, right click thereon then Unlock IT:

  • Check: checks if the folder is locked, raises permissions and permissions issues which will cause its deletion.
  • Unlock: unlock the file or folder.
  • Delete: delete the file or folder.

 

  • To delete a folder or file, a confirmation is displayed.
  • Click Yes to continue.

From the Unlock IT interface

The Unlock IT interface is also very easy to use.
We find:

  • icons with Check, Unlock and Delete options. But also the possibility of exporting a newspaper.
  • In the center is the list of files and folders that can be deleted.
  • Finally at the bottom, if a process is locking the file or a permissions issue.

  • Navigate your drive to select it
  • It is then added to the list.

  • Click Yes to continue.

Unlock a folder or file

Sometimes you just need to unlock a folder or file for example to be able to open and read it.

  • Open Unlock
  • Then click on the arrow below the Unlock icon
  • Select file for file and Folder for folder

 

  • Then browse through your folders to select it.
  • Click OK to unlock the file or folder.
